B.Y.O.B.
Be Your Own Boss!
Why?
That’s a really great question. The only way I can answer it is to talk about Truman’s and my journey to this point.
Truman and I are both retired from the public safety arena, Truman as a firefighter and myself as a 911 dispatcher. We were blessed with the ability to move to Florida, where the days are warm and sunny, and we can lie on the beach drinking a fruity drink with an umbrella or take vacations.
But we are workers. You know what I mean. We needed that drive, that creativity that comes from being involved in something worthwhile. Truman and I had both owned small businesses at some point in our lives and we kept gravitating back to being business owners.
So we thought “Aha! The internet.”
Well, what can you do on the internet? Our journey has provided us with some many unique insights into the vast opportunities that are out there. So we have spent tons of time and money researching internet marketing, home businesses, affiliate marketing, personal growth. As you can see from our posts, we have tried to pass on to our readers discoveries that were important to us and we hoped might be applicable and helpful to others.
We wanted to be able to provide products for our readers that they could use to B.Y.O.B. also. So we put on our thinking caps and started making lists of all the things that we have encountered, all the people we have talked to, all the things people are searching for.
We discovered is that people are looking for basically two things:
- Education that doesn’t cost them their first born, that they can get accomplished quickly in their spare time at home, and then move into a new career.
- A solution to the dilemma of what kind of business do I want to start?
Those are both dillies. So we went back to the drawing board and created our first cost effective solution.
We had a little disagreement about the first one. I am content to sit at my computer and write and Truman is much more social, likes to get out and about. So we compromised and came up with a solution, that not only involves the internet and the computer, a home office, but also involves contact with your local community.
